Purpose of the role
The Vendor Key Account Manager is the direct contact person for the key vendors of IB MRO. The purpose of the role is to maintain and develop relationships with important vendors to ensure positive working relationships with key accounts.
Key milestones & challenge
• Support IB MRO ensure correct operational performance of its suppliers and ensure continuous improvement.
• Developing and sustaining solid relationships with key vendors of operational and financial importance.
• Develop Vendor Booklet, vendor QBR and vendor escalation path.
• Anticipate operational disruptions and assure effective topics escalations within suppliers.
Accountabilities
1. Supplier management
• Define Joint Procedure Manuals between IB MRO and supplier to ensure operational performance
• Set the KPIs to track and control the business targets.
• Develop action plan with vendors to assure operational excellence.
• Identify improvement opportunities within the scope of the supplier with the aim of simplifying the procedures.
• Standardize the processes under the scope of the position in order to optimize the usage of the resources taking into account the customer needs and the best market practices, ensuring the business competitiveness and sustainability of the business.
• Represent the company in front of suppliers and potential customers as well as represent the company in technical and commercial symposiums as a support to the organization.
• Implement new contracts with Key Vendors as well as the operation of the contracts.
2. Strategic development
• Define the strategy and key decisions around the vendor accounts.
• Support the definition of Iberia MRO strategy through identified market opportunities.
• Support IAG Procurement and Market Intelligence teams on the agreements negotiation with service and material suppliers to ensure the achievement of the best conditions for the Company taking into account the business needs and the market standards.
3. Team leadership
• Define the structure and responsibilities of the members of the team. Design the profiles and roles needed. Ensure the motivation, training and development of the team. Ensure the communication to the team and encourage the internal communication within the team.
