Purpose of the role
As part of the Line Maintenance team, the Availability & Vendor BFE (Buyer Furnished Equipment) Engineer is responsible for ensuring BFE material availability to support daily operations and Heavy Maintenance (HM) checks, minimizing operational impact and ensuring efficient costs and processes.
Key milestones & challenge

Ensure the materials are supplied on time to avoid impacting operation

Establish a good communication channel with all stakeholders to ensure clear visibility of material status.
Accountabilities

Manage material requests, determining the most efficient sourcing strategy

Monitor and follow up on orders until receipt in the warehouse, ensuring Estimated Delivery Dates (EDDs) are updated in the system.

Proactively escalate and find alternative solutions for any issue that may impact delivery timelines.

Materials are sourced at optimal cost and timing to prevent additional expenses (e.g., late returns, AOG costs)

Strong relationships with material suppliers as well as internal Iberia teams.
Education, skills & experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering

Knowledge of AMOS is desirable

Proficiency in Office 365 tools (Excel, Power Point, Power BI)

English intermediate level, written and spoken
